About Me

Hi, I’m Bret - a UX researcher and designer who’s endlessly curious about why people do what they do. With an extensive background in business development and sales, I bring a pragmatic, optimistic lens to solving complex problems and creating thoughtful, human-centered experiences.

I began my career at Corporate Executive Board (later acquired by Gartner), partnering with mid-market to Fortune 500 organizations. I then moved into the SaaS space at PlanGrid, a startup later acquired by Autodesk, where I now work with clients in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC).

Over the past 10+ years in client-facing roles, I’ve developed a deep curiosity about the “why” behind human behavior, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to turn insights into actionable solutions. Today, I apply those strengths to UX research and design with the goal of creating meaningful, accessible experiences that positively impact people’s lives. At Autodesk, I led user research initiatives within our business development organization that lead to increased process efficiency. I also consulted for a global non-profit through Autodesk’s Employee Impact Program to help create a scalable UX testing framework to support their growth.

Outside of work, I’m spending time with my family, exploring green and blue spaces, reading, or sampling whatever Costco has on deck. I’m always open to learning something new and connecting over coffee — feel free to reach out!
